Discover the beauty and wellbeing benefits of fragrant plants in this immersive, hands-on workshop combining herbal craft, aromatherapy and wellbeing.
Perfect for anyone curious about the power of scent and botanicals, the session explores how dried aromatic herbs and pure essential oils can be blended into simple, nurturing products for everyday self-care.

During this practical and sensory workshop, you will:
  • Explore a curated selection of fragrant plants, learning their traditional uses, aromatherapy benefits, and how to work with them safely.
  • Create your own herbal-infused oil, using dried botanicals chosen for their skincare and aromatic properties.
  • Blend a personalised herbal mix suitable for facial steams, bath infusions, salts, or scrubs.
  • Craft a final essential oil product designed to support your mood and wellbeing.
  • As we smell, blend and create, you’ll gain confidence in choosing botanicals for personal wellbeing and skincare, pairing herbs with essential oils, and designing your own fragrant rituals at home.
You’ll leave with three natural, beautifully scented products, along with recipes and guidance to continue experimenting with aromatherapy and plant-based skincare at home.

Tutor: Tanya Moulding aims to share her passion for all things olfactory and scent related. As a therapist and educator, she wanted a platform to share knowledge, encourage curiosity, discussion and creativity for those attracted to the intangible sense of smell!

Arrival Information:
  • Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the workshop to allow time to register your arrival and make your way to the classroom.
  • This workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Centre, which is located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners Rest Restaurant. There is a mobility vehicle available to transport participants to the top of the hill if necessary.
For this workshop:
  • All materials and tools are supplied.
  • There will be tea/coffee available throughout. Additionally, all the taps in the learning centre provide drinking water, so we suggest the use of a reusable water bottle throughout the day.
  • You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch, or the restaurant will be open from 10:00am to purchase food/refreshments. Please note that the restaurant can get busy during peak times, so when you arrive at the classroom, please ask a member of staff about pre-ordering.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to have a wander round.
