Join The Historical Herbologist for an enchanting Forest Bathing session at RHS Wisley, where you'll embark on a peaceful 2-hour walk beneath lush, sprawling canopy of towering arboreal giants. Your Forest Bathing Guide will lead you through a variety of sensory exercises, each designed to help you connect your senses with the natural world around you.

Throughout the session, you'll learn more about the scientific research behind Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku, which highlights the incredible benefits of immersing yourself in a forest setting. You'll discover the surprising advantages of inhaling the fresh, invigorating woodland air, rich with scents that can rejuvenate your spirit. However, our primary goal is to create a sanctuary of relaxation that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the present moment.

Tutor: Kayleigh Sinclair - The Historical Herbologist

What to wear: Forest bathing is a slow-paced activity, which can make it feel colder than anticipated, especially in the shade of the trees. To relax and unwind, it’s essential to wear clothes that keep you warm, dry, and comfortable. Be sure to dress accordingly, especially on chillier days.

What to bring: Please remember to bring a picnic mat or something similar to sit on, as well as a rucksack to carry any additional items you may want, such as water, snacks, or spare layers.

Skill Level: General – I want to enjoy, discover or learn from this workshop, whatever what my existing skill level.
