Enjoy using natural earth pigments to create a finished piece of art that enables you to truly take a piece of Rosemoor home. Grind your own pigments from raw materials sourced form the local North Devon coastline, as well as some pigments from the Garden, to create an atmospheric tonal painting. John will guide you through the techniques to paint a garden scene, drawing inspiration from the gardens and plants at RHS Rosemoor.

John Piper is a professional artist and course and workshop provider throughout North Devon for art groups and individuals. John has been the National Trust artist in residence at the Bucks Mills cabin several times over the past years where he paints using natural pigments from the beach and surrounding area. He has exhibited some of these works as part of an exhibition at RHS Rosemoor in 2023.
