Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) in Summer

Shinrin-Yoku - or Forest Bathing - is the Japanese practice of spending time in a woodland environment to improve health and wellbeing  through gentle activities that reawaken the senses and our connection to nature. Forest Bathing offers a myriad of health benefits, including stress reduction, immune system enhancement, better sleep, heightened concentration, improved cardiovascular health, and increased energy levels.
In your Forest Bathing session, you will be invited to make a conscious decision to slow down and disconnect from the ever-increasingly digital world. You will be guided through a range of activities including mindful walking, focused attention and connecting with nature. It isn't a hike but a gentle walk, there are no set goals, just curiosity, awareness and letting yourself be open to experiencing the awe and wonder of being in the outdoors and immersing yourself in the environment around you.

Tutor: Nick Rainbird has 18 years of experience in personal training and sought connection to nature during the pandemic. After experiences the benefits it dispensed he wanted to share that with others through courses such as this!
 
Arrival Information:

• The meeting point for this session is at front of house, in the Welcome Building. Please arrive in good time to register your arrival.

For this Workshop:

• The workshop is based on a walk-and-talk format therefore we advise dressing appropriately for the weather. 
• You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, or they can be purchased from our on-site catering during normal business hours. A voucher will be available to participants for use on the day.
• You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
