Wild Yoga – an unfolding of the Body

Take this opportunity to slow down, to reconnect with the natural world around and inside you. To come alive and celebrate your ‘wildness’. Unwind and celebrate moving with lightness and stability. Using focused breath work, simple yoga postures and relaxation we begin to access the body’s inner intelligence. Katy brings her love of the natural world and her training as a dancer to her Scaravelli inspired yoga practise.

Katy is a ‘Woodlander’, as well as a qualified yoga teacher with 20 years experience, Shinrin-Yoku practitioner and Natural Mindfulness guide. Katy owns and manages a small woodland in the Taw valley with her husband and is director of Courage Copse Creatives CIC who use the Arts, in the broadest sense, to connect people to place and nature and their own creativity and well- being. She trained with the Inner Yoga Trust (accredited with the British Wheel of Yoga).

‘You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves" – Mary Oliver

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • Drink and light snack if required.
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing and layers, suitable for the weather on the day, and be prepared to work in bare feet.
  • Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket.
The class will take place outdoors on the lawn in front of the Education Centre. Please be aware we will only use the indoor classroom if it is raining or extremely cold.

If you have a physical or medical condition that might prevent you from fully participating in the session please email [email protected] when you book the workshop so that this can be passed on to the tutor.

Tutor: Katy Lee / Copse Creatives

Please be aware that parts of the session we will be in public areas of the garden, so there may be some background noise such as talking, children playing and potentially some gardening nearby.

Katy will be running standalone Shinrin-yoku sessions at RHS Rosemoor on Mondays 12 May, 9 June, 14 July, 11 August and 8 September 2025. Please see the individual links for more information and to book.
