Nature Inspired Mug or Vase

Make your own pottery mug or vase inspired by the natural foliage that RHS Garden Rosemoor has to offer. We will start the session with a short walk outside to collect leaves, twigs and other natural treasures, then use these to create amazing textures on slabs of clay. You will be guided through the process of using these to design a unique and beautiful mug or vase.

Finally, you will be able to choose from Tarka Pottery’s marvellous glaze selection to enhance the texture and complete your mug or vase. At the end of the session, Tarka Pottery will take away your finished piece for firing, and it will be returned to RHS Rosemoor for collection.

Jax Williams has led numerous clay workshops at art centres, schools and other work premises over the past 15 years, and currently leads an enthusiastic, friendly and experienced team at Tarka Pottery in Little Torrington. Jax loves introducing everyone to clay, offering the opportunity to be creative, to relax, enjoy and unwind while working with this wonderfully versatile medium.

This is Jax’s first workshop at RHS Rosemoor and we are looking forward to welcoming her.
