Join us at RHS Garden Hyde Hall for this delightful workshop where you'll get hands-on crafting a lovely willow swallow. Set in our very own learning woodland learn how to create a cute garden decoration that exudes rustic charm. Whether you choose to display your creation indoors or out, it’s sure to bring a touch of joy to any space. This workshop is perfect for both beginners and those already familiar with working with willow, promising an enjoyable experience for all.
 
Tutor: Deb Hart has been running willow and basket weaving workshops all over the UK, and in Canada for the last 20 years. She is a keen wildlife gardener, which lends itself to willow weaving and keeping things around us as natural as possible, without creating an unnecessary impact on our environment.
 
Arrival Information: 
  • The meeting point for this session is at front of house, in the Welcome Building. You will be allowed in before the normal opening time of 10:00 Please arrive in good time to register your arrival. You will then be guided up the hill to the woodland. There is a mobility vehicle available to transport participants to the top of the hill if necessary.
  • Please come dressed appropriately for the weather. If the conditions are particularly poor, the workshop will take place in the classroom instead.
For this Workshop:
  • All tools and materials will be supplied.
  • There will be tea/coffee available throughout. We also suggest the use of a reusable water bottle.
