The course will cover a wide range of grafting skills suitable for some ornamental and fruit trees and bushes which will include apples. We will discuss the merits of grafting plants and will look at the importance of selecting healthy rootstock and scion and the selection of tools. Each participant will have the opportunity to do some apple grafting. All the tools and equipment will be provided for on the day. Subject to the weather we will also have a tour of the gardens this will include the productive garden, orchards and nursery
