Often missed by the gardener but essential to get the best from your trees and shrubs. Spring pruning is used to renovate old shrubs, develop a natural healthy shape and form and can help to increase flowering potential and fruit. We will discuss the importance of spring pruning for a wide range of trees and shrubs this will include both fruit and ornamental. As a group we will be working in the garden homing in our pruning skills.  We will also look at the correct tools and the importance of plant hygiene and plant health. Spring pruning will include both roses and fruit.

Tutor Andrew Willocks (RHS)
