Make a Willow Trug

Leilah runs her own willow business, sells internationally, and creates exhibitions and runs workshops. She is also a QEST Scholar and loves the traditional heritage of basketry and creating high-end sculpture.

In this very popular workshop, you will make a traditional small willow trug originally designed for RHS Harlow Carr. Trugs are ideal baskets for carrying your vegetables, flowers or tools.  Leilah will show you the traditional basketry techniques you need to make your basket, and you will learn traditional skills to make your own.

This workshop is suitable for beginners but may not be suitable for people with severe dexterity hand issues as it will involve the manipulation of willow over a long period of time.
