Can you kokedama? Discover the ancient Japanese art of wrapping plants’ roots in a ball of soil and lush moss and create your own self-contained landscape in this beginner workshop.

Part houseplant, part moss garden, kokedama (‘moss ball’) is a pot-free plant creation belonging to a unique Japanese art tradition. Beautiful and versatile, a kokedama can be suspended from the ceiling or placed on decorative bowls, trays, or wooden platforms, and will elevate any space with its decorative appearance.  If you’ve always thought that crafting a kokedama is too tricky, then this workshop, delivered by the Bridgewater Gardening Advice Team, Andy and Clare, is for you.

Learn more about the history and tradition of this Japanese practice, how these pretty mini moss gardens are constructed and cared for, and take part in a fun hands-on session to create your own kokedama to take away.
