The Cottage Garden and Potager
For everyone who dreams of a beautiful and productive cottage garden, the Cottage Garden and Potager at Rosemoor provide the perfect inspiration. You will learn more about this style of garden, a little of the history of a traditional potager, and consider how to grow a successful combination of fruit, vegetables and cutting flowers - the essentials of a potager – whatever your size of garden.
Viv Hunt, independent gardener and garden consultant, will talk about some of the garden design elements that go into a garden of this type, then lead a garden walk to the Cottage Garden and Potager where you will be able to see how the theory relates to the gardens at RHS Rosemoor.
To finish the session, you will have the opportunity to plant some seeds of some of the plants that you have seen growing today, so that you can enjoy them later on in your own garden.
