Want to start your gardening journey but don't know where to start? Come along to this beginners session where you will start from the very basics for the best foundation. There will be expert advice on soil care, tools and their maintenance, easy plants to grow, and other useful tips. There will also be an interactive demo on planting flowers from seed with your own to take away to kickstart your beds at home. 

Whether you have a large space, small balcony, are looking to grow flowers or vegetable - there will be something for you! 

Please note that this is the morning session.

Arrival Information: 
  • Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the workshop to allow time to register your arrival and make your way to the classroom. 
  • This workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Centre, which is located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners Rest Restaurant.
For this workshop:
  • All materials and tools are supplied.
  • There will be tea/coffee available throughout.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
