Want to start your gardening journey but don’t know where to start? Come along to this beginner’s session, where you will start from the very basics for a solid foundation. There will be expert advice on soil care, tool maintenance, easy-to-grow plants, and other useful tips. There will also be an interactive demo on planting flowers from seed, with your own seeds to take home and kickstart your beds. 

Whether you have a large space, a small balcony, or are looking to grow flowers or vegetables, there will be something for you! 

Please note that this is the afternoon session.

Arrival Information: 
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop starts to register your arrival and make your way to the classroom. 
  • This workshop will take place at the Clore Learning Centre, located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners’ Rest Restaurant.
For this workshop:
  • All materials and tools are supplied.
  • Tea and coffee will be available throughout.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards, should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
