Choosing the right tree for your garden can be tricky. Explore small, medium and large trees at RHS Rosemoor and find inspiration for your own space.

You will be introduced to a selection of trees suitable for different garden sizes, whether you have a small garden outside your house or a much larger space to consider, you will be discover opportunities for each.

Tutor Susie Hauxwell will guide you through the key considerations to have in mind when choosing trees including growth habit, soil, light and maintenance. Find out about the seasonal interest features of different trees – do they have good autumn colour or attractive bark? Are the seeds an added feature? Or catkins, blossom, bracts... There are also many opportunities for encouraging wildlife into your garden through the trees that you plant.

The session will include a walk around RHS Rosemoor to view examples of small, medium, and large trees that will hopefully inspire you and help you visualise what might work in your own garden.
