Forest School Fun - Every Monday
11am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Get stuck into activities inspired by the wild, from nature crafts to scavenger hunts and sensory exploration. It’s all about learning through play while connecting with the environment.
The Garden Detectives - Every Tuesday
45 minute sessions starting at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm
The Garden Detectives are lost in the woods and need to get out. Join them on an entertaining quest, learning woodland survival skills with stories, games and challenges along the way
Recommended for ages 4+. Sessions take place at the Woodland Base Camp.
Forest Wellbeing Workshops - Every Wednesday
45 minute sessions starting at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm
Take time out to enjoy a guided yoga session surrounded by the sounds of the woodland at our Woodland Base Camp. The session will include a story and is relaxing for the whole family.
Spaces are limited.
Recommended for ages 3+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

‘Kith Homestead’.
This free workshop explores the journey from log to handcraft, discovering the beauty of working with raw wood. Working with real logs, you will get to craft a unique candle holder to take home and love for many years to come.

Join Vikki or Chris, Forest School Leaders from Born of the Forest who will be leading us on a mini-Forest School inspired adventure as we explore wonderful sticks! Let your creativity sore as we hunt for the perfect stick and then turn them into anything you can dream of. Be it a magic wand, a photo frame, a fishing rod, a sword… options are endless and limited only by your own imagination! Vikki or Chris will be on hand to support with skills such as knot tying, lashing and bark peeling.
Claro Orienteering-Thursday 28 August

This event is for anyone wanting to try out orienteering: adults, children, families!
Outdoor woodland workshop -Every Friday
10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm & 2pm
Join an instructor from Carnegie Great Outdoors in the woodland, where you’ll experience the outdoors and get close to nature, and learn essential bushcraft skills
The Big Den Build with the Woodland Tribe - 12th,13th and 14th August
90 minute sessions starting at 10am, 11.45am, 2pm and 3.45pm
Unleash your inner builder and get ready for an adventure like no other. Join Woodland Tribe, the UK’s masters of constructive play, and embark on an extraordinary journey into the world of imagination and creation in the grounds of Harlow Carr.
With a chance to use real tools and the freedom to explore, families can create and build a woodland adventure castle .
Tickets are pre-bookable and chargeable, in addition to garden entry. This workshop is for families, with everyone taking part so all family members need to purchase a ticket.
This activity is recommended for children aged 4+. Younger children are welcome to attend and take part, but must be as part of a family with older siblings.
