Houseplant Weekend

Come along to RHS Garden Bridgewater for our Houseplant Weekend. This extravaganza will give you the knowledge and expertise to turn your interest in houseplants into a hobby. From talks and workshops to plant advisory sessions and great shopping opportunities – it is the perfect January pick-me-up; you might not be ready to venture out into the garden, so why not bring the garden inside.

• Spaces on all talks, workshops and demos are available on a first come, first served basis (unless otherwise stated). Once the room capacity is reached, we will not be able to allow any further entries.

Ozichi Brewster: My Life with House Plants | 11am – 11.45am
Ozichi is Therapeutic Gardner at RHS Bridgewater and is passionate about House Plants. Learn all about House Plants benefits for your wellbeing as well as the how to best look after them through lessons Ozichi has learnt in life. 

Jo Adderley: Cacti and Succulents | 12noon– 12.45pm
Jo is Branch Secretary of British Cactus & Succulent Society and the owner of DJA Plants
Join us to hear all Jo has to teach us from her experience.

Charly Bourne: Herbs and Edibles | 1pm – 1.45pm
Charly works at RHS Garden Bridgewater as Specialist Horticultural Placement - Sustainable Horticulture. Come learn all about Herbs and Edibles that you can grow in your own home.

Herb Window Planters | 2pm – 3pm
Join RHS Bridgewater staff in creating your own Window Planter and selecting some herbs to plant and take home with you.

Jo is Branch Secretary of British Cactus & Succulent Society and the owner of DJA Plants. Join us to hear all Jo has to teach us from her experience.

Jason Williams: The Cloud Garden on House Plants |  11am – 11.45am and 1pm – 1.45pm
Jason aims is to inspire a new generation of urban gardeners through his brand of Cloud Gardener UK. Jason gathered a following from developing his balcony garden on his YouTube Channel in 2020 and has gone on to work on work on RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Cirrus Garden, RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, Ginnel Garden and much much more. Come and listen to all Jason has learnt about House Plants in his time working with them.

House Plant Panel Q + A | 2pm – 3pm
Join House Plant Experts from RHS Plant Advisory, Cloud Gardener and British Cactus + Succulent Society as they answer your questions on your plants.

Please note: Visitors are not permitted to bring their own plants onto site, but are more than welcome to come with questions and queries for our experts.
