B. listada is a compact and bushy evergreen perennial to 30cm, with small hairy leaves dark green with bright green midrib and margin, reddish beneath, and panicles of white flowers 5cm across
'Encanto Orange' is a floriferous plant of even habit, with vivid reddish-orange flowers and glossy, light-green foliage; to 35cm
'Sherbet Bon Bon' is a dainty cultivar which does not trail vigorously and is better suited to pots than baskets. Flowers are pale yellow and double with pink margins, on dark pink stems. Glossy light green foliage with reddish margins; to 20cm
'Hazel's Front Porch' is an evergreen, erect perennial, to around 1.2m tall, with green leaves and clusters of drooping dark pink flowers borne in late spring and summer
'Irene Nuss' is an evergreen perennial to 1.2m in height, with erect stems bearing large leaves, bronze-green above, reddish beneath; pink flowers in pendulous clusters
'Escargot' has striking foliage with a very pronounced single spiral that's accentuated by the spiralling olive-green and silvery-green colours; the leaf surface is lightly covered with pink hairs that are more noticeable at the edge, and the leaf stalk is densely covered in red hairs
B. solananthera is a scandent species with glossy green leaves that are ovate to heart-shaped. Scented clusters of flowers are borne in winter. These are white, touched red in the centres
'Princess of Hanover' is a well-filled, elegant plant. The older leaves have a more undulate margin and a more pronounced leaf spiral but all leaves have a spiral of olive-green and metallic silver-green and a red underside to the leaf
'Marmaduke' is a bushy plant with broadly oval light yellowish-green leaves heavily blotched with reddish-brown, and sprays of small pale pink flowers in late spring
'Sparkler Red' has pink-red single flowers and green leaves with a red margin. Lasts well; to 45cm
