C. florida f. rubra forms a broadly conical tree with ovate, slightly twisted, leaves that show good autumn colour. Discrete green flowers, surrounded by four showy bracts in a reddish-pink and white, appear in early summer followed by red fruits
'White Dusted' is a large, slow-growing shrub, with mid-green, ovate leaves splashed and flecked with cream and white, turning red and pink in autumn. Flower-heads in early summer consist of a tight cluster of small, greenish flowers, surrounded by four pointed, creamy-white bracts. Fruit deep pink, strawberry like
'Cherokee Chief' is a large deciduous shrub to 6m, with ovate leaves and red and purple autumn colour. Flower-heads to 10cm in width, with four notched, deep rose-red bracts in late spring
C. florida is a small tree or large shrub with large, broadly oval, mid-green leaves that turn red and purple in autumn. In late spring, clusters of small, green flowers are surrounded by conspicuous white or pink bracts, followed by rounded, orange-red fruit
