Black Tulip is a vigorous, upright, open-branched, deciduous tree with oval leaves up to 15cm long. Before the leaves open, from early to mid-spring, it produces abundant, cup-shaped, rich red-purple flowers, 15cm or more across, with rounded petals
'Daphne' is a small, upright, deciduous tree producing pale yellow, tulip-shaped flowers in mid to late spring
'Spectrum' is a small to medium-sized, upright, deciduous tree producing large, goblet-shaped flowers in mid- to late spring. These open from rich, purple-pink buds; the open petals are pale pink inside, flushed and veined darker outside
'Star Wars' is a small tree or large shrub to 6m, with mid-green leaves and large, fragrant, rosy-pink flowers in mid or late spring
'Summer Solstice' is a large deciduous tree with broad, obovate leaves and fragrant, cup-shaped flowers opening in late spring and early summer from pink buds and retaining some pink tints on the outside of each tepal
'Athene' is a small, deciduous tree producing fragrant, cup-and-saucer-shaped flowers in early and mid spring. These are white with a dark pink base and some dark pink flushing on the outside of the petals
'Caerhays Surprise' is a small, deciduous tree producing waterlily-shaped flowers in mid to late spring. These are lilac pink, with a darker pink flush on the outside of the petals
'Nigra' is a spreading medium-sized deciduous shrub with glossy elliptic leaves to 20cm in length. Flowers erect, narrowly tulip-shaped, with oblong, deep reddish-purple tepals 12cm in length, paler within
'Peter Dummer' is a medium-sized, deciduous tree with fragrant, tulip-shaped flowers appearing before the leaves in mid-spring. The flowers are pink on the outside, shading deeper at the base, and creamy-white inside
'Susan' is an upright medium-sized deciduous shrub with deep reddish-purple buds opening in mid spring to fragrant, cupped flowers with usually 6 tepals, red-purple outside, pink within
