Our technology supports people across the business, including scientists, marketeers, press and PR specialists. Our digital platforms (including our website) excite and educate people of all ages about plants and gardening.

Our IT and Digital teams

Software Engineering

Join our team of more than 15 Software Engineers, and you’ll cover a variety of web and integration projects. We contribute to a range of projects, from web applications and micro-services to messaging and data processing. We recently integrated Azure services with Dynamics CRM, and have email and telephony integrations in the pipeline. We’re also working with third parties to develop our mobile app and experimenting with AI for new products. In short, join us and you’ll help ensure we make the most of advanced technologies to engage new generations of gardeners.

Enterprise Architecture

In this growing team, we focus on organising and planning strategy, services, processes and technology. Working closely with people across the business, we pool our knowledge and expertise to look at how we can design technical solutions to improve service and operations. Join us and you’ll have the chance to identify improvements, experiment with technology to help design solutions, and support the delivery of those solutions. In short, you’ll play a key role in designing an IT strategy and influencing technology decisions so we can continue to innovate and thrive.

Business Change

Working closely with teams across the RHS, we make sure projects are delivered in the best way to support positive business change. Join our team of project managers, business analysts and QA specialists and you’ll play a leading role in delivering IT and digital strategies. From delivering major projects and introducing agile delivery practices to continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll be key to transforming the business. It’s a challenging and varied workload and you’ll have access to all the training and coaching you need, so your skills continue to grow.

Data and Analytics

Join this team and you’ll be using your data knowledge and skills to help teams across the RHS understand supporters, make better decisions and boost gardening knowledge. You could be helping to roll out Power BI and an RHS-wide data platform, giving teams more data access, and coaching them in visualising and understanding data. You might look at how AI could support analytics and predictive modelling, or investigate how we can use our vast data to produce innovative products and services. In short, you’ll find a variety of interesting projects to get involved in.

Digital

We’re the team behind the digital technologies that are exciting new generations about gardening. In fact, we welcomed 30 million visitors to the RHS website in 2022, making it the digital destination for gardeners. Join us and you’ll use your expertise on a wide range of projects. You could be working with botanists or communities to turn their vision into an online solution. You might create an app for gardeners like RHS Grow or improve the user experience on our website. Whatever you’re involved in, you’ll use a variety of collaborative tools to make a lasting impact.
