Trainee Online Journalist

The variety of tasks I've been involved in have been eye-opening, interesting and lots of fun

I’m proud to be the very first Trainee Online Journalist at Peterborough, helping to work on the website for the online team. My role is to learn all aspects of the online editorial process, including web editing and writing, which I am enjoying immensely. The variety of tasks I've been involved in, from visiting the RHS shows and gardens, helping co-ordinate the blogs and web writing, to also gaining insight into The Garden magazine editorial have been eye-opening, interesting and lots of fun.

I live nearby in Stamford and my interests include gardening, wildlife, reading, travelling, music and sports, particularly cycling. I have a Masters degree in Irish Studies, have previously worked for four years in administration for a recruitment firm specialising in the land-based sectors, and I am currently undertaking my RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation and Development. With so much knowledge gained in my time here at the RHS, in future I hope to continue in the editorial field, and with writing especially.
