About the garden

Owned by
Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust

New for 2023: The magnificent grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse covers 50 acres, encompassing ancient trees, shaded woodland copses and a peppering of follies and monuments across the landscape. Vast lawns stretch out from the beautiful house’s baroque façade, and historic paths meander under majestic veteran trees.

Families and garden lovers alike can enjoy a day in the gardens and discover many hidden delights such as the sweeping views from the Ha-Ha and South Terrace to the wildflower meadow – so much awaits on each visit. Little explorers are welcome with their families to join in garden lawn games and enjoy a picnic on the deckchairs.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times.
