The garden on canvas

Displayed together for the first time, Anita has painted 12 garden scenes that capture Harlow Carr's seasonal highlights, using natural materials such as twigs, feathers and moss.

Summer beauty in the garden
There is plenty to see around the garden in summer. Streamside reaches its glorious peak with stunning displays of dolly-mixture candelabra primulas and an impressive collection of bright blue Meconopsis.
The Main Borders are alive with colour. Drifts of white and purple alliums begin the spectacle in early summer, while a rich palette of herbaceous perennials continue the show well into autumn. Visitors can enjoy the sights and scents of roses, lilies, wisteria and jasmine in the Scented Garden, or simply relax in a deckchair by the Queen Mother's Lake.
