The Friends of Harlow Carr organise an annual programme of exclusive events for members. These include behind-the-scenes visits, guided walks with RHS staff and visits to gardens and estates of horticultural interest.

All profits from Friends events are reinvested directly into projects within RHS Garden Harlow Carr.

Tuesday 17 March

Friends of Harlow Carr Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Wolfson Room, Bramall Learning Centre
Arrive 6.30pm for a 7pm start

Followed by a talk by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission

Cost: £9.50 per person (includes refreshments)


Tuesday 24 March

Visit to RHS Harlow Carr Nurseries

Led by Garden Manager Alison Goding
Start 2pm

Cost: £8 per person


Tuesday 14 April

Visit to the Alpine Areas

Led by Team Leader Sam Wadsworth and team
Start 1.30pm

Cost: £8 per person


Tuesday 16 June

Self-Drive Visit to the Swinton Estate

Guided tour of the walled garden led by Joe Lofthouse
Start 2pm

Cost: £15 per person (includes entry, guided tour and cake)
Drinks available to purchase separately


Tuesday 21 July

Curator’s Evening

Led by Curator Fiona Slight
Start 6pm

Cost: £12.50 per person (includes refreshments)


Wednesday 9 September

Coach Trip to Levens Hall

Free-flow visit to the house and gardens
Depart RHS Harlow Carr 8.30am
Arrive 11am
Depart 4pm

Cost: £48 per person
Refreshments available to purchase separately
