Come along to this two-day course at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, which will concentrate on how to select and combine the best pigments to accurately represent different plant materials. The workshop also covers analytical drawing and composition techniques to enhance your botanical illustration skills to portray plant structure and growth habits.
 
We will be working in watercolour, so please bring your selection. A list will be provided containing non-fading pigments useful in plant depiction, which often needs colours not found in standard sets. ‘Artist’s colours’ are usually better quality; we recommend avoiding ready-made greens as we will learn to mix our own.
