Take a step back in time and unearth secrets from the land that time forgot at RHS Garden Harlow Carr this summer. Families can embark on a Jurassic journey around the garden on a daily garden trail, discover habitats rich in Jurassic plants such as ferns and monkey puzzle trees and meet pre-historic creatures including giant insects. Watch out for dinosaur eggs, huge footprints and make sure you don’t step in the dinosaur poo.

Visitors will be greeted by a seven-foot willow stegosaurus made by North Yorkshire-based willow sculptors from Dragon Willow. Other willow dinosaurs can be found hiding out in the woodland: look out for a huge diplodocus and see if you can spot the pterodactyl flying through the trees near the Craggle top treehouse. Budding palaeontologists can dress up as explorers and take part in a fossil dig to find dinosaur teeth, bones and claws.

Visitors will be encouraged to take a selfie in a climb-in dinosaur egg. There will be birds-of-prey flying displays designed to explain the link between birds and dinosaurs as well as creative craft activities, outdoor workshops, miniature dino gardens & storytelling with the Garden Detectives.
