Not sure what tasks to tackle in your garden at home this season? This session is aimed at those wishing to increase knowledge in helping stay on top of seasonal gardening jobs – or those wishing to join for fresh inspiration! Learn techniques, tips, tricks and advice from our RHS Hyde Hall Garden Team. This session will include several practical demonstrations within different parts of the garden.

Topics covered in this workshop will include lifting and dividing herbaceous perennials, demonstrating the Chelsea Chop to control flowering and plant size, plus information and discussion on weed control and managing soil health. Learn how to make the most of your garden and encourage beautiful blooms throughout the Late Spring months.

Arrival Information:
  • The meeting point for this session is at the front of the house, in the Welcome Building. Please arrive in good time to register your arrival.
For this workshop:
  • The workshop is based on a walk-and-talk format; therefore, we advise dressing appropriately for the weather.
  • We encourage bringing a notebook and a pen to take notes.
  • You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, or they can be purchased from our on-site catering during normal business hours. A voucher will be available to participants for use on the day.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards, should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
