Coloured pencil art is an increasingly popular medium with artists. Award-winning Artist Janie Pirie, who specialises in floral and botanical art using coloured pencils, is joining us at RHS Garden Hyde Hall to teach you the skills needed to create some amazing artwork of your very own.

Coloured pencils are usually used on a hot pressed white paper suface, however using other types of paper can produce very interesting and dynamic illustrations. During this workshop you will be shown how to create a lovely image on a coloured paper, although usually designed for use with pastels, coloured pencils work well on this surface giving some fabulous results.

This workshop is suitable for all levels.

Please note: Coloured paper will be supplied but participants will need to bring their own drawing equipment, further information will be provided before the workshop. Janie will have a good selection of pencils which can be purchased on the day.

Tutor: Janie Pirie
