Learn how to needle felt everyone’s favourite garden bird, the Robin. In this festive workshop, you will create your very own festive Robin complete with glass eyes and wire legs, sitting proudly atop a pinecone base. This workshop is suitable for both complete beginners and those with some needle felting experience.

Tutor: Sue Lynas, a local textile artist.

Arrival Information:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop starts to allow time to register and make your way to the classroom.
  • This workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Centre, which is located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners Rest Restaurant. A mobility vehicle is available to transport participants to the top of the hill if needed.

For this workshop:

  • All materials and tools are supplied.
  • There will be tea/coffee available throughout. Additionally, all taps in the learning centre provide drinking water, so we suggest using a reusable water bottle throughout the day.

You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to stop for lunch and a wander round.
