Drawing and Painting Course

The course will start with a series of drawings, some undertaken outside and some indoor-based studies. Guided by your tutor a variety of drawing materials will be used enabling you to explore their properties and how they can be applied to different subjects. This way of working will enable you to develop or enhance your skills and help you select subject matter that you wish to explore further. As the course develops, and with support from your tutor, you will make selections from your studies and develop those images into an acrylic painting. All materials are provided but it would be advisable to bring an old shirt or apron.
Peter is a popular local artist and teacher, who jointly runs Quay Drawing to encourage people to improve their observational skills and thereby improve their artwork.
