RHS Garden Rosemoor is surrounded by a stunning backdrop of trees and woodland, of which the RHS owns and manages more than 120 acres. You will learn about our woodland management plan, discussing some of the different ways in which each wood is being managed.

Our walk will include a section of woodland that is not normally open to the public, covering as much ground as possible within the session. With discussions throughout, you will hear about our management objectives, the importance of resilient woodland and our future visions for Rosemoor’s Woodland

Tutor: Rod Knight has been working at RHS Rosemoor for 20 years, during which time he has built up a wealth of expertise in his specialist area as an arborist. In 2003, Rob began volunteering with the National Trust at Brownsham. He began his training with chainsaw, followed by Horticulture and Practical Horticulture, Royal Foresty Level 2, professional tree inspection and a multitude of other arboriculture and horticulture related qualifications and certificates.
