Enjoy a morning creating a nature-focused mixed-media collage inspired by the garden, flora and fauna, landscapes, and changing seasons. Choose different textiles, woollen fibres, and found objects, and arrange and apply them to create an A4 or A3 abstracted textural piece or a landscape image.
Emmeline Webb, mixed media artist, will guide you through the process of selecting and curating your artwork, securing your chosen materials with a combination of glue and stitching to complete your piece during this half-day workshop. A selection of Emmeline's hand-painted papers will be available for use, as will fabrics and other collage materials.
Tutor: Emmeline Webb returned to art education as a mature student, gaining a BA (hons) in Illustration from Cambridge School of Art in 2008. Since then, she has been encouraging others to find their artistic voice and benefit from the restorative effects of making art, and she has 15 years of experience teaching art workshops to teens and adults. Emmeline's workshops are suited to all abilities, with an emphasis on relaxation, exploration of art materials and ultimately fun.
Location and arrival information: The workshop will take place in the Peter Buckley Learning Centre. Please allow 15 minutes to park in the main visitor car park, enter the garden and get to the Learning Centre.
Catering: Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available in the classroom. You are welcome to visit the on-site catering before or after your workshop. Full details of the available outlets and what they offer are on the
