Inspired by beautiful Spring flowers, this workshop will teach you how to use your crochet skills to create a Primrose flower and turn it into a pretty garland with leaves. In this workshop the tutor will work with you through the Primrose flower pattern stitch by stitch, including techniques for joining new yarn colours, creating leaves and how to put your garland together. A relaxing workshop to get stuck into!

This is an upskiller workshop, basic knowledge and experience with crochet is needed. This pattern works with half treble and double treble stitches (UK terminology).

You will leave this workshop with a finished Primrose garland and the written pattern so you can confidently make more at home.

Tutor: Lizzie Pettet-Smith fell in love with crochet after attending a learn to crochet workshop in 2016, beyond that introductory class she is a self taught crocheter with a love of experimenting with colour, new shapes and designs. In 2023 she began publishing a collection of her favourite crochet patterns for all to enjoy.

With 9 years crochet experience, Lizzie brings her knowledge of crochet and technical support to this workshop, sharing her passion for the craft during the workshop. Lizzie has always designed her own patterns, this primrose flower garland is the latest in her catalogue.

Location and arrival information: The workshop will take place in the Peter Buckley Learning Centre. Please allow 15 minutes to park in the main visitor car park, enter the garden and get to the Learning Centre.

Catering: Tea / coffee and biscuits will be available in the classroom. You are welcome to visit the onsite catering before or after your workshop. Full details of the available outlets and what they offer are on the RHS Rosemoor Food and Drink page of the RHS website.
