    Bas relief casting

Create 3-5 festive decorations inspired by collected and curated plant material, leaves and cones from the garden, arranged in clay before recreating as small casts suitable to hanging on a Christmas tree or as other decorations around your home. Each cast can be finished with ribbon and embellished with a touch of maybe gold or silver leaf or metallic paint.

You will be guided through choosing a selection of suitable materials to add just enough detail and interest to each decoration. Using the initial clay impression enables you to try different imprints and impressions to capture the wintry foliage and seasonal interest in a set of festive decorations.

Lisa will also be bringing some materials kits for sale so that you can continue to make more decorations at home.

Tutor: Lisa Richards has been an art teacher for 15 years and has worked as an artist in residence in numerous locations over this period, creating large scale collaborative installations as well as working with students to create individual outcomes.
