Jurassic Really Wild Show

Come and meet some modern-day Jurassic creatures with Really Wild Learning, who will take you on an evolutionary trip exploring the weird and wonderful creatures of today. Over the one-hour session you will be amazed by animal facts, meet the creatures up close and be able to see the amazing link from the dinosaurs, to the animal in your hand today.
Normal garden admission applies and there is a small extra fee for children (adults are free) and online booking is strongly recommended as places are limited.
Monday, Shows at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm

Dinosaur eggJurassic Discovery Garden Trail

23 July - 2 September daily, 10am - 6pm

A chance for families to explore the gardens in all their summer glory, enjoy creative play and discover new things about the Jurassic period... with a number of surprises along the way!


Clay dinosaurJurassic Discovery, free drop-in family craft workshops: 

Weekdays, except 17 & 27 August, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm. 

Mondays – Dinosaur Dig and Paint. Dig deep in to the sand pit, find a dinosaur, then paint it in your favourite colours. 
Tuesdays – Dinosaur Masks 
Wednesdays – Create your own clay Dinosaur – What would yours look like? 
Paint your own dinoThursdays – Dino seeking Binoculars and Spikey Hats- Go seek a Dinosaur with your very own binoculars, while running around in a dinosaur tail hat.
Fridays – Paper Plate Dinosaurs – Fun dinosaurs making using paper plates and paint. How crazy will yours be?

Dino in gardenJurassic Adventure ‘Play-in-a-Day’ drama workshops 

The workshop participants, with the help of their tutor, The Plough Arts Centre’s Youth Theatre Director Sophie Hatch, will create their very own Jurassic Adventure production and bring it to life for a show in the afternoon.

Thursday 16th August - Learning Centre West Classroom and Learning Centre Lawn
Tuesday 28th August - Learning Centre West Classroom and Learning Centre Lawn

Maximum of 25 children, 8 - 12 years of age, on each play-in-a-day workshop, from 10am to 4pm  
Tickets can be booked here and will cost £8 for RHS Members and £10 for Non-Members (plus Normal Garden Entry).
Children can be dropped off at the workshop for the day but must bring a packed lunch, including a drink, although Rosemoor will provide extra refreshments. Parents are invited back at 3.30pm for the sharing performance.

The award-winning magician will be performing inside the Garden Room events building.

Captain Coconut and his amazing Bubble Show Fun Family Activities
Back at Rosemoor by popular demand.  Captain Coconut brings his amazing Bubble Show to delight his many fans.  Free Face Painting for everyone with Devon Facepainting.

Rosemoor Live!  Outdoor Theatre – Treasure Island 
5pm
A plough Arts Centre event. Bring low back seating, blankets and picnics if desired. Refreshments available at all venues. Free entry to gardens 3 hours before evening performances.

17 – 19 August (during the Rosemoor Garden Flower Show)
The crew from Entertainingly Different - Circus skills workshops   
In the Copse play area, or inside a marquee if wet, the popular children’s entertainment group will be giving circus skills workshops. Open to all ages wishing to give it a try. 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm each day. 



Falconry30 August 
Falconry Display: North Devon Falconry Centre 
Learn how dinosaurs are closely linked to birds as Martin and Morris from North Devon Falconry will be on site with their birds of prey. Then watch in awe as the range of falcons (Gyr, Peregrine & Lanner), Harris Hawks and a magnificent Bengal Eagle Owl are put through their paces during their displays. There will be flying displays at 11.30am and 2.30pm which will include an element of audience participation! Come along and marvel at the speed and hunting skill of these birds.
