An afternoon with Amanda Owen

T’Pau

Friday 20 May 2022
Doors open at 7pm; performance starts at 8pm

One of the biggest selling bands of the 1980s, led by flame-haired singer Carol Decker. Fans can see Decker perform  stripped back and intimate versions of all their classic hits, accompanied by her live band, and hear the stories behind the songs.

Unbelievable Science with Morgan & West

Join Morgan and West for a fun family science extravaganza filled with captivating chemistry, phenomenal physics and bonkers biology. Expect explosive thrills, chemical spills and a risk assessment that gives their stage manager chills.

Spend the afternoon with gardener, writer and presenter Alys Fowler for a look into her life and work. Learn more about her latest book, Eat What You Grow, in which Alys shows you how to create a rich, biodiverse garden that feeds not only you but supports pollinators and other wildlife.

The Fleetwood Mac Songbook (Sold out)

The Fleetwood Mac Songbook (tribute show) is made up of six experienced musicians who are dedicated to celebrating one of the all-time great rock, pop and blues bands – Fleetwood Mac. The band deliver faithful live recreations of the Mac’s well-loved and best-known songs.

CK Gospel Choir

Children of the Kingdom, or CK Gospel Choir, are a 16-piece group from London united by their love of gospel music. Encompassing a mix of talented singers and musicians with different musical styles, they blend traditional gospel with jazz, soul, blues, classical and Latin genres.

Musical Bingo

Friday 8 July 2022
Doors open at 7.30pm; event is between 8pm–11.30pm

It’s bingo, but with music! Guests are given cards with song titles instead of numbers, and then mark off tracks as they’re played by Bring & Share’s pioneering DJs. With silly prizes from glow sticks to toasters, Bring & Share has been a hit from the National Theatre to Wayne Hemingway’s Vintage.

The South

This impressive nine-piece band features former members of The Beautiful South including singer Alison Wheeler and lifelong sax player Gaz Birtles. Devon Opera

An afternoon with Raj Bisram

Join fine arts and antiques expert Raj Bisram as he talks about his fascinating life and career. Learn more about his career as a celebrity auctioneer for top events in the UK and Europe and his appearences on many TV programmes including BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, Bargain Hunt, Would I Lie to You and Richard Osman’s House of Games. A Q&A session follows Raj’s talk as well as the chance to network and chat.

An afternoon with Charlie Ross

Spend an afternoon with auctioneer Charlie Ross, hearing about his extraordinary life and career. He’ll talk about travelling the world conducting many high-profile and high-value auctions, as well as his experiences on TV programmes including Antiques Road TripCelebrity Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt. A Q&A session will follow Charlie’s talk with the opportunity to ask him any questions.

Wilderland and 3 Daft Monkey (New date)

Doors open at 6.30pm; live music between 8pm–11.30pm

One-man band Wilderland, Andy Souch, also joins us for the evening. Andy was a drummer in numerous punk bands and brings a raw, sometimes angry energy to his music. It’s also playful, as Andy hands out tambourines and teases you to keep up with his fearless pace.

3 Daft Monkeys are celebrating an unbelievable 21 years of music making. The band are known for their theatrical live performances and infectious dancing rhythms, and with a fiery blend of influences from East and West, their music is uniquely wild.

Ceilidh Night (New date)

Grab your partner by the hand and gather together for a night of dancing and fun at RHS Garden Rosemoor. Enjoy live music from Banned From The Moor – a lively and multi-talented group based in and around the southern slopes of Dartmoor – as well as a caller to keep you dancing all night long.
