RHS members can get free face-to-face gardening advice from an RHS advisor from 11am - 3pm on the first Saturday of each month and every Monday from 1pm - 3.30pm from July to September. Come to our desk in the entrance conservatory with your questions.

The Learning Centre will be packed with alpines from exhibitors throughout the country. On Saturday buy unusual plants at the plant fair; on Sunday the West Yorkshire AGS Local Group hold their autumn show.

Take a journey into the world of wildlife: make a pumpkin seed hedgehog, join the Woodland Holiday Club (bookable, small charge applies), hear stories with The Garden Detectives, and meet African Pygmy hedgehogs!

Christmas stories with Santa: selected dates from Friday 2 December 2016

For something extra special, why not book onto a Christmas Story with Santa. Snuggle up for a classic Christmas tale, have a sing-along and a story with the man himself and if you have been very good receive a small gift.

The RHS Lindley Library reveals a remarkable piece of World War One history from its archives: the ‘forgotten’ story of an intrepid group of British men who set up a horticultural society in the Ruhleben internment camp in Germany, and helped to feed their fellow prisoners throughout the war.
