Large deciduous tree commonly known as the zebra beech, eventually reaching about 30m tall, with unusually patterned leaves that have green veins separated by yellow-green sections between the veins, giving a striped or ‘zebra’ effect, the colouring most visible close up. The leaves turn copper-brown in autumn
