A mid-sized deciduous tree, to around 4m high in 10 years, and up to 10m high at maturity. It has a rounded habit, and broadly oval green leaves that turn copper in autumn. Flowers are fragrant, pale yellow with creamy yellow insides, and open to around 20cm wide; they are produced before the leaves in spring

Cultivation
