Selected at National Trust garden Knightshayes, Devon, a deciduous tree with a semi-pendulous growth habit to about 20m in height and dazzling white bark. The upright leader has strongly weeping side branches bearing glossy dark green leaves turning yellow in autumn, and yellow-brown spring catkins
