A rounded, bushy, deciduous shrub, to 1.5m tall, with ovate, serrated, dark green leaves. Large white flowerheads, up to 21cm in diameter, are borne from summer into autumn and each floret has a small blue eye. As the flowerhead ages, the colour fades to pale pink
