A small, upright, slow-growing tree ultimately to about 2m tall and 1.5m across. The wine-red leaves have five long, narrow, smooth-edged leaflets, and turn bright red in autumn. Inconspicuous green flowers in spring are followed by red and green, winged fruit in autumn

Cultivation
