An erect, woody-based, deciduous perennial, producing stems to 1.5m (5ft) high and a spread of 50cm (20in), with deeply divided, aromatic green leaves. In late summer and autumn, the plants produce spherical, fully-double, yellow flowers, with incurving petals. They are long-lasting in water and are ideal to grow for cutting or for exhibition. The plants are not frost-hardy in the UK and are best lifted after flowering or grown in containers and kept in cold, but frost-free conditions until spring.
