A floriferous, slow-growing, spreading, clump-forming rhizomatous perennial to around 30cm in height, with basal rosettes of lobed and toothed green leaves. Single, creamy-peach flowers appear nodding at first, later becoming more upright on dark brown stems from April through to May

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid areas that are waterlogged over winter. Divide every three years or so to maintain vigour
