A medium-sized dessert apple with a golden-yellow base colour that is almost completely covered with a deep red flush. The flesh is fine-grained, creamy-white , very juicy and has a hint of strawberry flavouring when apples are fully ripe and have been grown in good conditions

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
