A late, dessert apple with rich red flushing over yellow skin, and firm, cream flesh with a sweet, fruity flavour. Bred to have low levels of the particular proteins which trigger apple allergy in a few people. Produces a good yield in mid-autumn, fruit storing to early winter. Requires a group 2, 3 or 4 pollinator

Cultivation

Prefers deep, fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Will not thrive on very acid soils, shallow chalk soils or with shade for more than half the day. May require fruit thinning to improve fruit size and quality. See apple cultivation
