A fairly compact, rhizomatous, tender, evergreen perennial cultivar with tightly congested, spiralled leaves, a double spiral developing on some mature leaves; leaves are pale grey-green with a central blotch of dark olive green, flushed with magenta on older leaves, and a narrow red rim at the margin
