A compact, deciduous, dome-shaped tree with small, heart-shaped yellow to purple leaves which change to green-gold in the summer. Clusters of pea-like red-purple flowers appear on the stems, before the leaves in mid spring. Easy to care for and good for smaller gardens, even if grown in a pot or container
