A compact, upright, rounded, deciduous shrub with ovate, dark green leaves. It has a long flowering period, from June to October, because it flowers on new as well as old growth. The large, rounded clusters of semi-double white flowers mature to a light pink or light blue, depending on soil pH and mineral content.
